While we were hanging out on the front terrace, enjoying finger sandwiches, scones, & confections with Kenyan tea,
giraffes & warthogs began emerging from behind the trees & quickly approached us to join the party!
Originally, we were sitting by the living room fireplace waiting for dinner to be announced.
It was to be in the formal dining room where all of the guests would eat together at one long table.
But our host, William, pulled us aside & told us he had something much more special planned for us.
He led us to the garden glasshouse with this heart-stopping surprise waiting inside.
At exactly 6 o’clock in the morning, we woke up to this unusual knocking coming from behind the curtains.
While investigating the tapping noise, we discovered two friendly giants
peeking over the window sill, impatiently waiting to be fed!
After being seated, our long-necked Guests of Honor immediately made their grand entrance.
Even though our human bellies were full, we decided to roam the grounds to continue feeding our {still} very hungry friends.
Leaving this magical place was difficult for all the obvious reasons, but the saddest part was parting ways from William.
During our short stay, he went to every possible length to make our experience unforgettable.
Coming here, we knew we would find unmatchable joyfulness & vibrancy.
What we didn’t know is that we would also find family.
